A short intro to your present journey/connection with Xiaomi and your expectations for the Mi Explorer experience:

Hey, my name is Arcadi, and I am from Barcelona.

I travel a lot and a part of photography, that’s another of my hobbies! Right now I'm studying at an artistic high school only, specifically, audiovisual. I love practising sport! I play rugby, and on weekends luckily I go skiing!

It is an honour to be part of the Group of MiExplorers 2020! An adventure and unforgettable experience are coming!

Since I was presented with the possibility of collaborating with Xiaomi, I am thrilled with my phones and especially with the camera that every day amazes me more.

Xiaomi makes it more original and creative and makes me want to outdo myself talking about shooting photos.

Another reason I'm in love with having the Redmi Note 8 Pro is the camera resolution. For me, an essential element of my photographs is to be able to have a lot of detail in these, and with my device is never a problem!

A short intro to your present journey/connection with Xiaomi and your expectations for the Mi Explorer experience:

Hello Mi Fans, my name is Mikael (Mike for short), and I am one of the 20 lucky Mi Explorers 2020selected by Xiaomi. I will represent my country, France, in the category‘’ Photographer’’.

Firstly, I would like to thank Xiaomi and their teams for their warm welcome and allow me to be part of this terrific journey with them and with other Mi Fans, all coming from different countries.

Secondly, you might want to know a little bit more about me. My work allows me to travel a lot around the world (more than 50 countries so far) and to express my passion about new technologies, photography, and Food (Who would not like that?)

My journey started with Xiaomi, like as many, with MIUI on an HTC Desire, Nexus One, and HD2.

Truth to be told, the experience did not last long as, for work and day-to-day uses, I needed a stable and fully functional OS. However, a couple of years later, and the ability to buy Xiaomi devices outside China, I equipped myself with some of them. Back in time, I registered on the well-known and beloved Xiaomi MIUIForum, and with the launch of Mi Community in France, I have decided to settle down finally there (and became a writer).

For now, my home is fully equipped with Xiaomi IoT (Gateway, Bulbs, Smart Plug, Kettle, RiceCooker, Body and Temp sensor for instance), I own an electric scooter, the M365and a Mi 9 Smartphone (I still got my RN 3 Pro SE, Mix 2S, and Mi 8). I also possess a lot of different lifestyle objects from the Xiaomi ecosystem (AmazfitShoes, GTR, Mi Band, jackets, tripod,…).

As mentioned above,Photography is one of my passions. I started with an old reflex from Pentax, and I switched later to a K200D, and finally to a K7 that allows me to keep mylenses. However, daily, I am using my Lumix LX15 and my Mi 9 that I find way more convenient.

I like taking pictures of city architecture, street art, landscape, food but also ‘’Slice of Life’’,just catching the moment when people are thoroughly enjoying their time.

I started my Instagram account and a local IGERS group when, finally, the app was available to download for Android devices:

I will try my best to bring you the best shots, do the honours to our guests, and share this tremendous new journey with you.
It is the perfect occasion to level up my game. Stay Tuned!

Always believe something wonderful is about to happen!

A short intro to your present journey/connection with Xiaomi and your expectations for the Mi Explorer experience:

Hello Mi, Fans!

My name is Marino, and I’m a 23-year old Moderator of the Global Mi Community and I live in Rijeka, Croatia.

My journey with Xiaomi began in late 2013 when I got my first Android device. I never liked the look of stock Android back in the days, so I started looking online for various themes and different ROM's.MIUI was love at first sight for me! Since I didn't have money to buy an official device by Xiaomi at the time, I started porting MIUI ROM for various low budget devices and spread the availability of this fantastic piece of software!.

A few months after, I joined as a Device Team member on former MIUI Global Forum (Now known as Mi Community), and my main tasks were answering user queries related to the devices and MIUI OS, along with Beta Testing nightly builds. Since then I progressed and got promoted to moderator, I started to enjoy my tasks more and more.

The most shocking moment for me was when I got selected to test the world's first bezel-less concept phone - Mi MIX! Since then, my heart opened to Photography, and the ability to take amazing moments of your life in reach of your hand is just fascinating. Looking at how the industry is making giant steps forward in terms of quality and size of the sensors is just unbelievable for me! But, instead of point and shoot, I like to accept the challenges and jump to manual mode, fight the dark and take some stunning low light photos including the Milky Way which I thought never will be possible on a smartphone.

I am delighted and excited to be a part of the Mi Explorer program, such a fantastic opportunity to see Xiaomi's latest tech presentation with new colleagues from different countries, but the same passion for tech and innovation!

A short intro to your present journey/connection with Xiaomi and your expectations for the Mi Explorer experience:

Hey Fellow Mi Fans!

I’m John Wilson and I’m a moderator in the Mi Community UK. My name on the community is badboyofrock.

I first heard about Xiaomi when I got my Nexus 5, which was a great phone, but I think stock Android is just dull. After trying several custom ROMs (Cyanogenmod, Flyme, Paranoid Android ETC), I found one called MIUI.

Within a few weeks, I bought a Xiaomi Mi4i, and I’ve never looked back.

I used to post lots of comments on a popular UK shopping deals website, trying to help people that wanted to buy a Xiaomi phone, and I was asked if I wanted to help Xiaomi, who was launching in the UK.

I was a beta tester on the community website and app, making sure things worked correctly, and then I was asked to be a moderator. I’ve been here ever since, and you can usually find me hanging around in the Xiaomi, Tech or Photo forums.

I'm lucky enough to live in an almost rural location in Yorkshire, in the north of England and I like to get out and take photographs. I shoot almost entirely on mobile because I want to see how far I can take shooting on a device that nearly everyone carries with them in their pockets or handbags.

WhileI'm disappointed that I won't be going to Barcelona, I'm still looking forward to taking part in Mi Explorers, taking some great photos, and also trying to get some tips from my fellow photographers. I think it will be great to spend some time among like-minded enthusiasts who don’t sigh when I mention mobile phones.

A short intro to your present journey/connection with Xiaomi and your expectations for the Mi Explorer experience:

Hello Mi Fans, my name is Diana, and I am one of the 20 lucky Mi Explorers 2020 selected by Xiaomi. I will represent my country, Poland, in the category ‘’Photographer’’.

In the beginning, I would like to thank Xiaomi for this opportunity to travel and meet all the amazing Fans from all over the world.

Who am I? In the daytime I am a corporate worker, working as Data Protection Officer, but in the free time I test new technologies (my reviews can be found on https://techno-senior.com/), travel, sew clothes and make lots of photos. Yea, I would consider me as atypical photo-maker, other than a real photographer, as I am a total amateur and I do it as a hobby. My camera of choice is my mobile phone, mostly the one I am currently testing. There is a saying that the best camera is the one, you now hold in your hands, and many times I tend to keep more than one in my pocket :) I love to take photos of castles, palaces, macro images of nature and other exciting places in my neighbourhood. My main focus is to show that even without the most expensive and the most professional camera on hold, we can create stunning photos for our home album. I am trying to make my photos as original as possible, and I hardly do any retouch. The only retouch I use is small HDR or Instagram filter from time to time. All my photo-work is focused on showing all the functionalities and the power of a smartphone I am currently using. You can see my images, on my Instagram channel https://www.instagram.com/fotografia_mobilna_dk/

For some time, I have a new buddy - my own MiBunny, which I sew new clothes for :) He even has his personal Instagram profile, where you can follow his journey around the world: https://www.instagram.com/mibunny_pl/

Now it is a time to tell you a little about my story with Xiaomi. I own small equipment, such as light bulb, power bank, desk lamp or temperature sensor. I also had my own Mi Band, but my mom loved it so much, I had to give it to her :) I know Xiaomi smartphones since the company appeared on the Polish market and I test every single one of them. At the moment I am testing Mi Note 10, and it makes me very surprised. Sometimes I consider it a pleasant surprise, sometimes a bad one, but in general this phone made me even more impressed by your future flagship model. I believe that it will stay in my pocket for much longer after I test its camera possibilities.

You can follow my trip on two different Instagram accounts, as my buddy travels with me:

I will do my best, to give you all the best shots, so you can imagine you are there with me :)
