[Bugs] DARK front camera in video call apps using Redmi Note 7

It seems the Redmi Note 7 (with MIUI 10 Stable 3.6.0 PFGMIXM) only allocates 0.1MP of its front camera when using video call apps like FB Messenger. It looks like this:



It is exactly how it looks like when I try to use the 0.10MP resolution using Open Camera app. And here's how it looks:



I can't say that the FB Messenger is the problem because its video call feature perfectly runs in other phones that also use Android P. How can we fix this kind of problem? I hope somebody from dev team will give me a response.

The video quality in FB Messenger's video call remains the same even after I did what you've said. I also cleared the data of FB Messenger before rebooting my phone but the problem is still there.
