[Q&A] Trying to Unbrick / MiFlash error log / No fastboot

Using an A2:

Can not boot to fastboot. So it doesnt boot at all and stuck...
Open the phone to EDL and flash lastest rom: http://en.miui.com/download-353.html

During Flashing i got an error (log below).

Also tried to Flash V9.6.9.0.ODIMIFE.

Power off your phone. Press both power and volume down button simultaneously for a few seconds and the device will boot into fastboot mode.

Thanks for your reply, Tashfin. I will add this information:

When I try to boot to fastboot (Power off > Pressing power and volume down):
  • The background light of the display turns on, but a black screen, short
  • then it quickly goes complete dark (no bglight)
  • after that the background light stays on, still black screen

no matter how long i keep pressing either button.


During that,

I am not able to communicate with the device via fastboot:
  1. fastboot devices
Copy the Code
etc...


I think the only way to fix that would be over EDL, or some Hardware fix.

You should visit your nearby mi customer service center for help since the matter is very delicate with your device currently and also sorry for not able to help you with your problem.

I also have the same problem but this method is working perfectly for me

Please Make Sure You Have Installed ADB & FASTBOOT Driver Correctly in Your PC/Laptop

At First POWER OFF Your Phone
  Then,
1.Press & Hold POWER+VOLUME DOWN BUTTON For Few Seconds
Your Phone Will BOOT in Fastboot Mode

(It doesn't matter
The background light of the display turns on, but a black screen, short
then it quickly goes complete dark (no bglight)
after that the background light stays on, still black screen)

2. Connect Your Phone in PC/Laptop
3. Open CMD & Type
     fastboot devices
You will see the list of attached device

You will get your devices connected in PC/Laptop

If this method doesn't workThen,
contact to the Mi Service Centre

have you tried to flash the rom of any other phone like mi 6X since many people think that mi 6X and A2 are the same.
