Of course, it's not necessarily the apps in themselves that are the problem, but the amount of time that people spend on them (think you spend too much time on Facebook? An app has recently come out that helps you monitor your smartphone habits). This explains why Amazon's app ranked so highly during the Christmas period. If you can't resist the inflammatory, in-your-face headlines of the Daily Mail Online, then that might explain why you keep going over your data allowance.
