Recently, the alleged Samsung Galaxy J8 (2018) bearing model number SM-J800FN was spotted on Geekbench. The smartphone was seen sporting 1.6GHz octa-core Samsung Exynos 7870 processor, 3GB RAM, and Android 8.0 Oreo. Now, another smartphone with model number SM-J805G has turned up on the same benchmarking website and is speculated to be the Samsung Galaxy J8 .

The newly-spotted Geekbench listing suggests that the alleged Galaxy J8 will be powered by the Snapdragon 625 processor. Moreover, the handset can be seen packing more memory than the previous listing, i.e. 4GB RAM. The alleged Galaxy J8 has been tipped to run Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. In terms of benchmark scores, the alleged Galaxy J8 (2018) spotted earlier scored 726 points on the single core while the new listing shows a score of 749 points. Moving to the multi-core performance, the rumoured J8 (2018) scored 3,643 points and the alleged J8 scores 3,708 points.

Coming to the spec sheet of the device, the Galaxy J8 is tipped to come with a slightly larger display than the Galaxy J8. Speaking of the Galaxy J8 (2018), the smartphone is expected to come with a 5.5-inch display bearing a resolution of 1,280 x 720 pixels. The phone is likely to be powered by an octa-core 1.5GHz Samsung Exynos 7885 processor, mated to 4GB of RAM. The handset has been tipped to offer 32GB storage, which will likely be expandable using a microSD card. The smartphone’s camera department is expected to include a 12MP rear snapper and an 8MP front shooter.
As of now, further information about both these handsets is not available. However, going by the model number, the SM-J800FN can be expected to be launched in Europe, Asia and the Middle East. On the other hand, the SM-J805G is likely to be launched in South America.
