Xiaomi took first place in sales of smartphones in Russia during the period from April to June 2022, pushing Samsung into second place. The Izvestia newspaper writes about this, citing data from MTS analysts. According to the source, the demand for goods from other companies from China is also growing smartphones from realme and other brands already occupy two-thirds of the Russian market. The changes come against the background of the cessation of sales of gadgets by American tech giants in Russia. The publication’s experts specify that the average check for a smartphone in Russia in the second quarter of the year amounted to 23,000 rubles. The indicator decreased by 15% compared to the data for January-March 2022, but remained at the level of April-June last year. In the future, they expect an increase in the number of Chinese smartphones at affordable prices on the shelves of Russian stores. It is possible that there will be companies from the Middle Kingdom, whose products are not yet familiar to the inhabitants of Russia.
