Hi, Mi Fans
Düsseldorf, 19 July 2021 – The German Red Cross, the Dutch National Disaster Fund Giro 777 and the Belgian Red Cross will receive a donation totalling one million euros from the Xiaomi Foundation to support those affected by the floods in Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium. The Xiaomi Corporation made the announcement today. In Germany alone, according to the German Red Cross, more than 2,500 volunteers are working around the clock to help people on the ground and provide them with basic necessities.
“We are shocked by the scale of this natural disaster. We are very close to the affected regions in Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium and will do our part to help the people there, as we have been operating in these countries for a long time and feel really connected to the local people. Therefore, we have decided to donate a total of one million euros to the German Red Cross, the Dutch National Disaster Fund Giro 777 and the Belgian Red Cross through the Xiaomi Foundation,” says William Lu, Partner, Senior Vice President and President of the International Department, Xiaomi.

Those who would like to support the victims in the flood region can also do so via the German Red Cross:

Awesome show of action as well as empathy by Xiaomi's Management! Private Corporations are helping those who suffer, while the political elite is laughing on German TV...
