Hey Mi fans,|
How's everyone doing? Today I'm going to be presenting a guide on the test points of various Mi Devices. Whats a test point? What does it do? Read further to get more info on what this is and how its useful for all us Mi users.
First of all lets discuss what a test point is.
A test point is a location within an electronic circuit that is used to either monitor the state of the circuitry or to inject test signals.
Test points have two primary uses:
Test points can be labelled and may include pins for attachment of alligator clips or may have complete connectors for test clips all depending upon how the device is going to be tested.
Well that explains it, in other words Test Points can be used to fix bricked/no boot/boot loops in Mi devices.
The main area where test points are used is mobile device testing, Read about it below.
Mobile Device Testing:
Mobile-device testing mainly is placed in order to assure the highest quality of mobile devices. It includes mobile phones, PDAs, etc. The testing will be conducted on both platforms namely hardware and software. It covers different areas and different procedures, the testing comprises R&D testing, factory testing and certificate testing.
Mobile-device testing involves a set of critical procedures from monitoring and troubleshooting mobile application, content and services on real world handsets and lab devices before going into production. Testing includes verification and validation of hardware devices and software applications.
Developing applications for the Android platform is a complicated business. You have to test with multiple operating system versions, hardware vendor interface layers, hardware configurations, device types and network capabilities. The testing matrix for Android-based applications can be a serious challenge, impacting your product's quality, time-to-market, and in the end, profitability.
Under Mobile Device Testing one also has the following sections.
There it is, a brief description on what the test points are and what they do. This is not a guide to go about fixing the phone but a guide on all the various test points on Mi devices. You can search for other guides on the forums and on the net on how to fix a phone using the test points. Remember this should be done carefully as it can brick your devices.
