Apparently you'd have to wait for devs to add these features again in future updates. If you have checked the new update changelog, it says 'Several unessential features will become temporarily unavailable due to the necessity of major fixes and optimizations.' So some features, including control center, Recent Panel app shortcuts, Floating windows, etc are removed for optimising the UI. This is the same for all lower end devices like Redmi Note 9, Redmi 9, 9A, 9C, etc.
