PS4/xbox 360 controller - Mi MIX 3/Mi MIX 3 5G - Xiaomi Community

Hey guys, anyone able to help.

I had a PlayStation and when I plugged the controller in it said that it was not supported.

I now have an Xbox 360 controller, the message doesn't come up but it doesn't respond to any button pressing.

Any idea how to make this work on this phone please?

I think, on the Xbox at least, that microsoft blocked direct access to its controller without their own app. Not something I use myself, so I don't know more than that, but it could be a start for you

sorry are you connecting Xbox 360 controller to Play Station or a phone?

Xbox360 I believe is not supported wirelessly on Android if you have a worried one and USB on the go cable it should connect as generic controler.

Later models of Xbox One (with 3.5mm jack on the botom) and Xbox Series are Bluetooth compatible and should work without any issues.

Youre best download an app for PS controller on Android for use in many apps. There is many options and tutorials on YouTube showing how to pair the Bluetooth.

To use a controller on the Mi mix 3 5g the Xbox 360 connector is a pain in the butt to get working and even then, it doesn't respond well. (There are instructions on Google if you search the connector model with phone model).
The PS4 controller on the other hand connects via Bluetooth. Some games are compatible to use but they need tweaking through the settings. I just connected my PS4 controller to my Mi Mix 3 5g version. Left stick controls directions, circle is to go back, X is yet to do anything lol.

Unfortunately, I don't know what the problem is. I didn't have any issues with the controller on the Xbox. Can you check if the console is working correctly? When I needed to connect the ea account xbox one, I found the necessary information on the site, read there too. And what connection for gamepads do you use, wired or via Bluetooth? I couldn't connect them a couple of times via Bluetooth, but I just restarted the console, and everything worked again. But I think you've tried it, too. As a last tip, borrow a working controller from a friend and check if it connects. In this case, the problem is with the gamepad.
