A new MIUI 12 update has started being pushed out to random users of the Redmi Note 8 Pro. The firmware build, which is in a beta stable status, is for the Global variant of the Redmi Note 8 Pro. If the testing phase is successful, MIUI V12.0.5.0.QGGMIXM will proceed to a wider public rollout.

The Redmi Note 8 Pro has received another MIUI 12 update and this latest one is for the Global model. The build has version number V12.0.5.0.QGGMIXM and, according to the Mi Community forum, it has already been sent out OTA to select users of the Redmi Note 8 Pro who will be checking out the beta stable update for bugs and glitches.

Presuming there are no issues with the new MIUI 12 update for the Redmi Note 8 Pro then a wider rollout to the public will be forthcoming. Xiaomi has requested that those who receive the beta stable ROM should offer feedback in how it functions on the Redmi Note 8 Pro. As usual, the company advises against unofficial leaking of the download links.

According to another source, V12.0.5.0.QGGMIXM for the Redmi Note 8 Pro contains system performance optimizations and improvements for the system security and stability. A recovery ROM of this particular MIUI 12 update weighs in at 2.3 GB. However, Redmi Note 8 Pro owners should probably wait until the official OTA rollout commences.
