It’s no secret that I’m a die-hard fan of Mi devices and gadgets. As an authentic die-hard Mi Fan, I will test and review any Mi Ecosystem heading my way. So stay tuned to your friendly neighborhood leading Reviewer for more goodies. Today I am gonna review the Xiaomi Townew Smart Trash Can T3. Tuoniu (Townew) are well known for its smart trash cans. It's first model appeared as T1 debuted in 2018 on Xiaomi’s Youpin crowdfunding platform. Then, it made its way to Indiegogo and was finally made available in the US and Europe by Knectek Labs. Now, it just released a new model which I will review the Townew Smart Trash Can T3.
The new Townew Smart Trash T3 retains all the features of the original model with improvements plus longer battery standby takes 30% less space with the new design. In addition, it features the firm’s ASAR 3.0 patented technology to seal the garbage bag and pull down a new bag from the refill. Smart right?
The T3 is 100% faster and 120% more efficient than the previous generation and the response time detecting movements at a range of 35cm to open the lid has been reduced to 0.3s.
The T3 is powered by a 2,000 mAh unit cell which can offer 60 days of standby time and charges via a MicroUSB port.
Download the Instructions here. Note: This T1 instruction is basically similar in usages, only the shape and dimension are different.
The new Townew Smart Trash T3 is definitely an improvement with longer battery standby time and takes less space. Known for its ASAR 3.0 technology to seal the garbage bag and pull down a new bag from the refill makes it the most innovative system. A big thumbs-up from me.
