xiaomi how is it possible?  Today the news is spreading that the Redmi Note 8 pro will not have Android 11 ... a smartphone literally that has only been around for 1 year and Xiaomi is already turning its back on it.  What a shame that people who have this team feel contempt and we still do not have MIUI12.  how ugly they left Xiaomi.

You must be new to the Xiaomi world that you miss how Redmi 3s, Redmi Note 4 Mediatek and Redmi 4 Prime never received official Android upgrade. They were officially "born Marshmallow, die Marshmallow".

While Redmi Note 3 Mediatek was "born Lolipop, die Lolipop".

Redmi Note is not flagship. Most of Redmi Note series got Android updates only once.

You sell far more RN series than any flagship series. If Samsung can update mid phones from 2018 to android 10 than Xiaomi can do same or people will leave your brand. You lose your customers and apps in India and customers on global will leave you because updates. No one want to buy phone for one year and one upgrade of android

Banning a brand is a waking call for a manufacturer. India has done a great job with tiktok. I wonder what will happen doing so with Xiaomi...

most of brands keep updates for mid ra'ge phones at least 2 years .
it's so stupid of xiaomi to not keep updates for this range .
she can wins market over any other brand in this range if they keep the android updates over 2 years and security updates for 5 years

Why ya'll complaining about updates? All we need is a quick, easy and authorised-acount-bullshit free way to unbrick the phone… then we will receive further Android updates, there're plenty of self-taught developers who can even force MediaTek to cooperate
