How to installing the update via System Update...

NOTE : Do not Extract the downloaded file...

After downloading the firmware it will be saved on your internal storage.

Now go to Settings / About phone / System update

Tap on the 3 dots on the upper right corner of your screen

Tap on choose update package (if this option is not yet visible, keep on tapping on the MIUI 11 LOGO until you see a notification that options are available) Go tap the 3 dots again and option to choose update package will be visible)

You will now be prompted to choose the File you downloaded, select and tap on ok

It will check and verify the file and proceed as soon it is confirmed and approved

NOTE : If a notification pops up after verification preventing the update to not proceed, make sure that you are online, and already logged in your Xiaomi account on your unit. If the update still won't continue, wait for an hour and try again. Server for verification may be down or busy.

Some may suggest to Hard Reset or Factory Reset your phone after an update, but for me i only suggest the option if you encounter some problems or experience system issues after the update.

Special Note:

Doing the factory reset process is not recommended, if you decided to proceed with the process, I suggest you backup all important files before proceeding (Contacts, Messages, Photos, Videos, etc.) You can use the Xiaomi Cloud as backup
