POCO F2 Pro

[Other] Don't buy POCO F2 Pro for 5G - no global 5G support

Today we get 5G, but with the POCO F2 Pro we can not use it, because only N77/N78 band support. I call Vodafone and Telekom, they told me "forget about N78, this is 1% of our 5G network and will only be installed at hotspots, you need N1, N3 and N28 with DSS" I ask Vodafone and they told me "you need DSS, so no Xiaomi, because they don't support DSS, Mi10 maybe in future but not F2 Pro, because only N78 supported. In Frankfurt we got 3 N78 antennas and today we activate 150 N3 (1800 MHz) antennas"

The 5G smartphone without global support, thank you Xiaomi!

Thanks for sharing your interesting situation with the MiCommunity, bro. Easy solution, go to the shop you bought it from, and return, or exchange, the device based on false advertising, bro. Easy procedure, since Germany has strong consumer protection laws. Hence, instead of "thank you Xiaomi", you will soon write "that you Germany" 👍

Looks like you don't understand, whats the problem here. They sell a 5G smartphone, which is already outdated at the first day but you can see big 5G logo even at the boot :D
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_5G_NR_networks
Brazil N3, N7, N28
Germany N1, N3, N28
Hong Kong N1
Netherlands N3
New Zealand n7
Norway N28
Poland N1
Switzerland N1, N28
Taiwan N1
With only N77/N78 and without DSS u actually buy a 4G smartphone.
This is just to warn you guys, that don't know, what N77/N78 mean.
On poco.net you can check out the supported 5G bands for the Poco F2 Pro.

Naa, it looks like I, like most Xiaomi users, are able to read. Hence fully understand your situation. Most people read a product description prior purchasing it, hence, most people don't buy a phone they can't use in the area they are living at. Good luck with your temporary bottleneck, bro.

The recommendation: buy the K30 Pro. It supports N1 / N3 / N41 / N78 / N79. Then install the Xiaomi.eu and everything is fine. The only disadvantage is the lack of B20. But if the provider is Telekom, it's fine

So, the non global version support bands, which China don't need and the global one only two bands :D

Because Xiaomi don't care about F2 Pro.

I reported, as suggestion for now...
And funny thing is that, for example, Mi 10 Lite 5G supports
1, 3, 7, 28, 77, 78 SA/NSA bands.

in the UK they will only use n77 and n78, so Poco f2 Pro is perfect. don't misinform people because you didn't read the spec sheet before buying the phone and your country doesn't support the band's you need. it's a perfectly capable 5G phone
