[Review] Milky way with Poco F2 Pro in pro mode

Hi all,

I have bought the Poco F2 Pro last month to review it and this phone doesn't stop amazing me. Last night, I could see some stars in the sky, conditions were not perfect (light pollution, clouds,...) but I gave it a try with pro mode and here is what I got:

it's the fist time I see the Milky Way with a phone. Colors are not really accurate because of the light pollution I have where I live but the result is quite interesting :)

The rest of my review is here:
Poco f2 Pro test/review
(available in 6 languages)

I have obtained similar results with a Mi 10 Lite 5G (will post later)

can you tell us your settings?
ISO, Shutter time etc. ?
2020-07-21 22:17:07
they are on each pictures, I have tried multiple combinations of low/high iso, long/short exposure but here you have an example of 13s / 3200 ISO and 25s / 2000 ISO. To avoid seeing the effect of Earth's rotation, it's best to stick around 10-15 secs.

I took these pictures with a Xiaomi Mi note 10, using the Gcam

superb! Did you manage to set the exposure time manually with Gcam? I never found a stable version to take night pictures.

No really, I just used the Gcam 7.3 version. It just set the exposure time automatically. It was for 4 minutes.

I have tried 7.3 and 7.4 but the night vision mode only took a few seconds exposure time and that's not enough of course. Do you have a version with astrophotography mode or are you using the night vision mode?

Good shots!

I have found a better version for Gcam with astrophotography mode, I'll try it out as soon as the sky is clear. If anyone is interested, I have used the 7.3.01 version from Arnova8G2.

@LaurentWillen.be and @AgusMalo WoW!!! Amazing photos... I have to try something like that with the Pro Cam and GCam. I did try making a photo of the comet with the GCam but the sky was still too bright. Anyways, this was one of the results. The comet is almost in the middle and directly under the "Big Dipper". (with Xiaomi POCO F2 PRO)

I have made some progress with Gcam

I have also nice results with the Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite with the default application:
