Hello,

For those who want dual sim support on global version of this phone, there is a way. I hope xiaomi wont block it but you just have to buy dual sim tray from chinese version (available on aliexpress for few bucks) and flash chinese rom or xiaomi.eu (its based on chinese rom) and your phone will have 2 IMEI numbers and dual sim will work perfectly fine. I can confirm it's working 100%. Xiaomi probably blocked dual sim on global version because of license fees but simply changing to xiaomi.eu rom and buying dual sim tray is everything you need to have it working.

Probably India rom will also work since Mi 10 Pro on India market also supports dual sim but I cannot confirm. There are many people on xda developers who also confirm it works.

It does work with global version of the phone but you need to flash it with chinese or xiaomi.eu rom because global rom have dual sim blocked on purpose. Maybe someone will figure something out so It will also work with global ROM but xiaomi.eu rom is pretty fine for me (have playstore certification and google pay works).

2.- TWRP ? which one did u use ?
3.- Xiaomi.eu.

We are well aware of that, and you are partial right about why the dual SIM is not offered. Good effort.

Caution if your Phone Bricks and there is no Xiaomi Service center in your area you're f*** wonder why Xiaomi did this just to keep cost down not worth the risk and stress pass...

Its a bit disappointing that one of the main reasons I original got myself a mi phone was the dual sim which serves me well as I travel.  I have been using mi phone since mi 3 and now on mi 8. Due to this silly decision, now I have to look for other phones like oneplus instead. Not too sure if mi 11 will do the same, if so, it will be bye bye mi phone for me.
