Hi,

In the 25th of May 2020 I started using the Redmi Note 9s phone. Everything was going really well untill yesterday when the proximity sensor started giving problems. When listening to audio notes in Whattsapp the screen goes black and the volume goes very low and the phone becomes unresponsive untill the audio file is finished. Also the double tap to wake phone just causes the screen to flash on and then off again. I have already calibrated the proximity sensor via *#*#64663#*#* and it keeps happening after a short period of time. Please assist me in fixing this bug.

Do you have pocket mode turned on? Some users have reported this issue. For some, turning off pocket mode in settings temporarily solved the issue. It's already reported, and we are awaiting a fix. But I would suggest you to send a bug report on this via feedback app. The more reports, the better.
