Not at all. But update cycles are different for each variant. Just because one got a new update doesn't mean that your variant is abandoned. Updates will come.

Well, we got the update first anyways. They were on Oreo for a long time while we had Pie, so I guess that sorts out the priorities. :D

Well, Oreo MIUI was a much more stable and optimized than Pie and now Russian's have a newer build with a newer security patch.
Which so much software problems reported by a lot of users in Global builds it's coherent that the company needs to release fixes and using efforts to help the majority, but we all see that it's not happening and the decisions are aleatory or arbitrary.
So, in my point of view is still a question of priorities, bad ones indeed.

Agree to that. But they get less frequent updates, and much stabler ones as a result. Here, users will whine about updates if it isn't received every month. So that's one reason for buggy ROMs without proper testing. But I agree with your point. Oreo was very much better in terms of stability, performance and battery.
