Try to disable the data. I don't have WiFi problem after disabling the data service.

Ferris Lee, on my case disabling the data service didnt fixed the problem, today the support ask me to do that test, but the problem persists.
Ferris Lee do you confirm that in your case disabling the data fix the problem on your device?

I have set up my TPLink WiFi extender to see if that solves the problem. I didn't set it up before this as the FritzBox has a very good WiFi range I didn't need the extender at all. I will report back later today.

The problem persists even with the TP Link WiFi extender. I'm now trying just connecting the hotspot on windows 10 on my PC.

Hi Zoko, after disabling the data service, I don't get any WiFi problem. I also updated to MIUI 11.0.7 and the WiFi sleep problem seems like not happening now.

Hello, in my case even if i disable the data service, i continue having wifi problem.

And even for some users disabling data service "fix" this issue, i think it will have to be resolved definitively, since the equipment has to allow both options to be activated

hello.same problem here.in my house wifi keeps disconnecting every time the phone locks but in my job this stops.it is very annoying they have yo fix it immediately

same issue here... After 10min inactivity the phone does note download data and its connected to the wireless.
