Off-Road Racing Game
Hello All Readers, Greetings! How’re you all? Hope you all are doing good! Previously I reviewed app GIPHY CAM which is the great for making your own unique and distinct GIFs. I hope you all had given it a try. Do you like racing game? Do you like rally cars? Have you played any Asphalt game? If yes is the answer, then here is a cool racing game for you. After the tremendous response from its predecessor Asphalt 8, Gameloft has released a off-road rally racing game called Asphalt Xtreme. This one is first off-road rally racing kind of Asphalt game after a long period of so many successful street racing games in the Gameloft's portfolio. So, does the game stand up to its “Xtreme” name or will it fall short? Let’s find out! So, let's begin for the review!
FIRST LOOK When you first launch the game, you get the loading screen which may be annoying if you have slow internet. When you launch the game for the first time, it will download some required data from the internet. 
After the downloading completes, you can set your basic details like age and gender. Gameloft's Privacy policy, Terms of Use and End-User Licence Agreement links also given below it. You can have a look at it. Once done tap on Accept button. 
Then you get the tutorial race which helps in knowing the game mechanics, controls and other useful information like nitrous boost you will need to know while you are racing with others. 
Complete the tutorial and land on this home screen. You have now unlocked your first car. It is the Ford Focus RS Rally Car. It is easy at turns at high velocity as well as known as Speed Devil! It has an awesome nitro recharge rate too. 
GRAPHICS: The game visually looks a lot similar to the previous Asphalt racing games in most aspects. The graphics areas expected from an Asphalt game, it's Stunning! You can literally see the individual dirt particles and water droplets that land on your windshield. Cars look great too with flashy decals and paint jobs and other modifications that you may apply to pimp them up. Terrain of the races look awesome as now we have a range of different textures at different locations and not just limited to roads. Of course, you need a powerful device to experience the HD graphics but trust me, it still looks great on a lower end device too. GAMEPLAY: If you have played any Asphalt racing game then you will realize that the mechanics of the game are very much similar to it except some new features and controls. You start off with a third person view of the car in race and a variety of control modes to choose from. I chose the easy one with automatic acceleration and tilt steering. When you tilt your phone, the land also kind of tilts and the car steers. This was present in Asphalt 8 but now feels better. The races are generally shorter than it's predecessor, Asphalt 8. As soon as you get immersed into the race, it's already over. The controls are the same as before with drift on the left side and nitrous on the right. You can always change the controls from the settings as you prefer. The new physics additions like car bouncing on some terrain seem realistic and the nitrous now doesn’t turn off while drifting. The speedometer in the HUD is all new and improved with low speed warnings. The Single player or Career mode is big this time, there are tons of offline races that you can play and a mastery mode for you racing pros. Apart from my mentioned points, the gameplay is pretty much identical to its predecessor Asphalt 8. GARAGE: A nice collection of sixty-five cars is available at the garage for you to race with. These cars are divided into seven main categories, namely Rally Car, Buggy, SUV, Muscle Car, Pickup, Truck, Monster Truck. It is also divided in five classes according to performance named as D, C, B, A, S class. These vehicles include licensed cars from top brands like Jeep, Mercedes-Benz, Ford, Chevrolet and other top vehicle brands. You can upgrade your cars by collecting parts throughout the game and spending coins(and even real money). LOCATIONS: There are eight locations currently in the game Gobi, Phuket, Nile Valley, Svalbard, Detroit, Alps, Coachella Valley and Nepal. Each location has multiple tracks and races spread across the many seasons in the game. All the locations look different and since they’re off-road, you have to be careful and dodge more obstacles than before. GAME MODES There are five race types available in the game which are carried over from Asphalt 8. The best one that I like is infection. Infection was earlier more complex to play but now it’s too simplified for new users. I love it because of the unlimited nitrous you get while infected. I think most people will like the classic race in which you have to come first in race to win it, as simple as that. You should check out other modes also and comment down your favorite. MULTIPLAYER The live multiplayer mode was the mode everyone is excited about. Everyone of us love multiplayer modes as they never bore us and are very challenging to play. To join a multiplayer game, tap the multiplayer icon at the bottom and join a room. Now, wait for more players to join in and vote. All the people that voted the same as yours will start a new game and others will be left out. The gameplay was as expected, tough, as there are so many more experienced players out there to beat you. If you can manage to win everytime, then kudos to you. SOUNDTRACK A great soundtrack makes a racing game or any game more enjoyable and immersive to play. Asphalt Xtreme features a great collection of tracks that pair perfectly with the environment and location. If you’re like and love engine sound, then reduce the music volume a bit and pump up the engine sound to full.
