Before you update to android 10, this is must to do! - Mi A2/Lite - Mi Community

The android 10 is not yet officially released but this TIP will help you prevent against no solution bricks and bootloops.

Open your settings app
Go to about phone
Go down and tap build number several times until pop-ups window to enter your security code or pattern if you have any
Now go again into settings, open System section
Select advanced
Open developer options
Here find OEM unlocking and enable it (there is not risk of losing warranty)
When the update comes and you brick or bootloop, just follow this guide: How to fix bricked or bootlooped phone

If you do this and you get bootlooped or bricked, you will thank me later. After the android 10 update you can disable OEM unlocking and developer options too and never again do that becouse Android updates will be delivered via Google Play store and there wont be a need of rebooting.

Speaking from experience - you don't want a bootloop with a locked bootloader, it's really bad. As someone who was just barely able to get the A2 out of a pretty bad bootloop (expired warranty period, no fastboot unlock, no recovery menu) I'm never using a phone with a locked bootloader again. And neither should you!

Yeah, thats the worst thing what can happen. Than average user cant do anything to fix it and can even more get into hard brick and the phone has to go to service center and gotta wait 30 days for phone....
