Mi Notebook

[Discussion] My Notebook Air doesn't wake up after letting it rest 30-40mins (BUG or Fault)

Hy guys!

I have a global version Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 13.3" with i5-8250U and 8GB RAM.
I have a big problem with it which started since 2-3 month...

I have set the computer not to sleep when it's on a charger since it was taken out of the box cuz I usually stream vidoes from it.
If I let it stream to TV with VLC after ~30-40 miutes (sometimes less than 20 min) it stops...
The streaming stops and the display won't turn on back.
The power button still has light, if I push any key, the whole keyboard goes lit, but no response besides this, no picture, no sound nothing...

The only way I can get it back to work with hard reset (power off for 20 sec) then turn it back. Nothing else worked for me yet.

I did nothing new to it, only thing was updated is the Windows....

Any idea what can be wrong?

i have also this problem. Maybe it is because of Intel Management Engine Interface, try to update it to the newest version or the original version:
https://www.mi.com/service/bijiben/drivers/13-air-8
in this site you should look for “ 芯片组管理引擎” and then reinstall it.

Since 1 week i have a Mi Air 13 2019 as well. I have the same Problem! Did you find a solution?
I already updated/installed the Intel Management Engine Driver from Xiaomis Website. After this it works 1-2 times and then it doesn´t work again.

Thank you for your support!

It's a very common windows bug with every laptop.
Right mouse on the windows logo  device manager,
expend the human interface devices then right mouse then properties (you have to do this on all of them) power management and check the box next to allow this device to wake the computer (on some of them you cannot even check the box which is fine)
a lot of laptops' keyboard and trackpads connected by usb internally so you have to do the same with the universal serial bus controllers

I have tried doing this, but for some reason, I am not able to click the box that says 'allow this device to wake the computer'

I know of somebody with the same problem that managed to fix it just by changing this parameter, but I do not have that option. I see the box but I do not have the option of selecting it? any idea why? my laptop is the 13.3'' i7-8550u

I am having exactly the same problem (here). In my case, I mostly use Linux in that computer, but the problem also happens in Windows.
