The Wi-Fi Alliance, which oversees the implementation of the Wi-Fi standard, announced the official launch of Wi-Fi 6 certification program. In other words, the Wi-Fi 6 standard is truly ready. So the technology companies will soon be able to promote their products to be certified to support Wi-Fi 6.
What Advantages WiFi 6 Has?
Wi-Fi 6 includes a range of new technologies that are combined to make Wi-Fi more efficient. Its speed has been also increased from 3.5Gbps to 9.6Gbps. However, these are theoretical maximums that are impossible to achieve in real use. The biggest boost in Wi-Fi 6 is not to increase the speed of a single device but to improve the network when a large number of devices are connected.

At E3 2019, Opera shocked the world by launching the world’s first gaming-dedicated browser – Opera GX. It is a browser specially designed for gamers and has features like the option to limit RAM and CPU usage to smoothen the gaming experience, Twitch integration and special effects in the background.
Today, Opera is taking its browser one notch up by adding another worthful feature – network limiter. The network limiter feature of Opera GX allows users to set the maximum bandwidth the browser can use. Opera GX allows you to choose from several pre-defined values in KB/s and MB/s and the browser will stick to it.

Smartphone manufacturers use machine learning to develop image recognition engines which make use of a neural network trained on millions of images.
From this machine learning, an AI camera develops the knack for automatically identifying scenes, available light and even the angle the of the scene. As such, your camera knows that it’s looking at a person, food, nature, animals, e.t.c. Subsequently, the AI camera chooses the most applicable exposure and colour adjustments for that perfect shot.

It may seem strange to talk about a Wi-Fi 7 standard. The Wi-Fi 6 standard has barely arrived yet — in fact, its final authorized form is still expected to be announced at the end of 2019. Few devices on the market are even ready for it. Wi-Fi 7 is, at the best, still several years away.
But thanks to interviews with Qualcomm’s VP of technology, V.K. Jones, we have some idea of what this future Wi-Fi standard will look like, and what’s exciting about it. As we all start embracing Wi-Fi 6, here’s how wireless networks are going to get even better in the future.
