Hello all,This time I would like to present to you the Smartmi Evaporative Humidifier.Smartmi is also a Xiaomi-ecosystem company which focusing on products such as air purifier, air humidifier, fan, heater and even air conditioner. So basically it specialise in products that is related to wind.What so different about this humidifier? If you notice, it is caled the Evaporative Humidifer. It does not use the common ultrasound method that we usually see in market to produce the white mist or steam to humidify your environment.What it does is that it employ the natural evaporative method by using wind to help humidify your environment in a more natural and cleaner way.The benefits of this method is that it wont produce mist or water droplet that might damage your furniture or items in your surrounding. It is also suitable for people with allergy or sensitivity since it just naturally humidify the environment using wind/air.So let's move on to the unboxing and product images.UnboxingIt comes with the standard brown box which has very similar look & feel to the legendary Mi 3 box.It has 2 parts which are the upper body and lower body.The top view - Exhaust/Water filling portWarning sticker to remind users to remove all the styrofoams carefullyThe lower casing which house the water tank and evaporting basinThe evaorating basin uses wind flow to help evaporate the water to humidify The huge 4L capacity water tankThis is the bottom of the top casing. You can see there is a gear there which spin the evaporating basin when connected and you can also see the electricity pin on the other side.Here's the back of the humidifierIt comes with a temperature and humidity sensor so we will be able to directly check the temperature and humidity level from the Mijia app too.The control panelEnglish version user manualYou can see that the Smartmi Evaporative Humidifier had continue the usual Xiaomi/Mijia product style which is simple and white.I love the minimalist design and most importantly, it complements with all my others Xiaomi products too. You can add water to the water tank by directly pouring water in via the top upper casing exhaust holes or by pouring into the water tank directly when the upper casing is removed.Next up, I will show some of the screenshots on Mijia App after connecting to the humidifier.You can easily find the product to connect under the Air Treatment category. I'm connected to the Europe server.It has a very simple interface here to show you the humidity, temperature and water level. At the bottom you will see the on/off button, mode change button and timer button.You can toggle between Automatic, Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 for the humidifier speed and even on level 3 the humidifer is till very quiet. Since there is only a DC motor that is spinning the water basin.By swiping up, you will see more options and settings here. Drying mode is to dry up the water in the tank and it will takes up to 8 hours.We can also schedule time period for the humidifer to work.ConclusionI like the 2 body design, reason being we will be able to wash the water tank easily without worrying about water getting into any electronic parts as the control panel are all on the upper body.
