Hello Fellow MIUI Fans,
The best fitness or activity trackers can provide you with an accurate, comprehensive and easy-to-understand snapshot of your health – day after day, year after year. But our independent tests have also uncovered trackers that just aren’t up to the task - and there’s little point buying an imprecise, uncomfortable device that lacks the useful features you may need.
There’s plenty of choice when it comes to what you want your fitness band to do, and that’s where we can help. How many types of sensors do you need? Would you be better off with a fitness watch? Should you buy a device with a screen? And is it worth paying extra for a model that can also relay texts and notifications from your phone? To help you pick the right wearable for you, here we are covering few must-knows, let's start to explore!
Pricing plays a vital role before buying any device. Any reliable fitness tracker may not come cheap. Every added feature will be monetised; thus, defining a budget is logical before setting out to purchase a tracker and potentially overspending. You can choose the Mi Band 4 which will cost around USD 28 only!
Most fitness trackers are wrist-worn or come with a clip to hook the tracker to your clothing. The simplest devices are the ones you can wear all day without actually interacting with them. With few exceptions, most have only LEDs to indicate your progress. You'll have to check the app that the device is paired with to dive deeper into your data. With more advanced (and expensive) devices come larger displays, some of which are touch screens, like you'll find on the Amazfit Pace. These devices tend to look more like big watches, with round or square faces that hold screens that can display a lot of information at once and let you interact with your data. If you have small wrists though, some of these devices can be uncomfortably large.
3. Battery backup:
Being an electronic device, the wearable fitness tracker will require charging. You should consider how long the battery lasts on different trackers, how often it will be possible and necessary to charge the device and whether it needs an electronic outlet or can be charged via a USB port. You can grab the amazfit BIP which provides around 40 days battery backup.
4. Water & splash resistant:
If you want to keep your fitness tracker on all day, including in the shower and when you go for a swim, you may opt for a device that can handle more than a splash of water. For example, the Mi Band 4 is not only splash-proof but also waterproof. That's also a plus if your tracker takes an unexpected dive, or if you want to track your swimming.
Fellow MIUIers, hope the aforementioned tips will help you in choosing the best fitness tracker. See you soon with few more tips, signing off for now! Have a healthier life!
