How are you guys? Welcome back to 5th volume of this series thread. So today I have compared 2 mid range chipsets which is Snapdragon 665 and Snapdragon 660. So without any further delay lets get started.

CPU And GPU

Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 features 4 kyro 260 silver high efficiency core based on Cortex- A53 clocked at 2.0 GHz along with 4 high performace kyro 260 gold core based on cortex A-73 clocked at 1.8 GHz. On the GPU side 665 integrates the Adreno 610 GPU. API Support: OpenCL™ 2.0 Full, OpenGL® ES 3.2, Vulkan® 1.1, DX12.


Whereas Snapdragon 660 also features same 4

Connectivity

In terms of connectivity both the chipsets supports X12 LTE Modem with Downlink LTE category 12, Peak download speed upto 600 Mbps (Downlink Carrier Aggregation: 3x20 MHz carrier aggregation Downlink QAM: Up to 256-QAM). And Uplink LTE Category 13, Peak Upload Speed upto 150 Mbps (Uplink Carrier Aggregation: 2x20 MHz carrier aggregation Uplink QAM: Up to 64-QAM). Camera

The Snapdragon 665 supports Qualcomm Spectra 165 ISP, can handle a single camera sensor upto 25MP(Snapshot upto 48MP), Dual camera upto 16MP. It can record 4K Ultra HD@ 30 fps, Slow Motion Video Capture: 720p @ 240 FPS, 1080p @ 120 FPS. And supports Accelerated Electronic Image Stabilization.



Whereas Snapdragon 660 supports Qualcomm Spectra 160 ISP which can handle a single camera sensor upto 25MP, Dual camera upto 16MP. It can also record 4K Ultra HD@ 30fps, slow motion video capture: 720p @ 240 FPS, 1080p @ 120 FPS. And it also supports Accelerated Electronic Image Stabilization.


Charging And Battery Efficient

Snapdragon 665 supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0, According to Qualcomm Quick Charge 3 is designed to charge twice as fast as Quick Charge 1.0 and to be 38 percent more efficient than Quick Charge 2.0.. It is fabricated on Samsung's 11nm LPP Process.


While Snapdragon 660 supports Qualcomm Quick charge 4.0, According to Qualcomm Quick Charge 4 is up-to 20 percent faster, or 30 percent more efficient, while charging up to 5°C cooler. And claims that It can charge 0-50% in just 15 mins. It is fabricated on Samsung's 14nm LPP Process.

Conclusion

So Both the chipsets have same CPU Power but with different GPU(Snapdragon 665 features Adreno 610 whereas Snapdragon 660 features Adreno 512). Camera ISP is better on Snapdragon 665 and can capture a 48 MP True shots. But in terms of charging capbility it disappoint because it supports Qualcomm 3rd generation Quick Charge technology whereas Snapdragon 660(one year old chipset) supports Quick Charge 4.0, however process technology is better on Snapdragon 665 because its fabricated on Samsung's 11nm LPP Process whereas Snapdragon 660 on 14nm.
