[Discussion] Pocophone F1 vs. Mi MIX 2S - different CPU specifications with the same CPU

Hello,
I want to buy a new mobile phone but I can't decide between 2 devices - Pocophone F1 and Mi Mix 2S. The problem is that I can't find reliable specifications of these mobile phones.

Both mobile phones have Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 so they should have the same mobile network features/specifications. But that's the problem, they don't have.

Here are official specifications for Poco F1:

Unfortunately, no additional information is published anywhere and these below are directly from Qualcomm webpage. I don't know if Xiaomi has changed them. Those that are marked in red are very important to me and I can't find them for Poco F1:

LTE Category
Downlink LTE Category: LTE Category 18 (downlink)
Uplink LTE Category: LTE Category 13 (uplink)

LTE Downlink Features
Downlink Carrier Aggregation: 5x20 MHz carrier aggregation
Downlink LTE MIMO: Up to 4x4 MIMO on three carriers
Downlink LTE Streams: Maximum 12 spatial streams
Downlink QAM: Up to 256-QAM

LTE Uplink Features
Uplink Carrier Aggregation: 2x20 MHz carrier aggregation
Uplink QAM: Up to 64-QAM

On the other hand, we have a Mi Mix 2S. Here are basic informations for this mobile phone:

The problem is that in the last sentence it is stated that MIMO 4x4 only works in the B41 band. That's strange, of course, because I haven't seen a limitation on MIMO per band in my life and I haven't heard about it. Does this mean that the Poco F1 also has this limitation? If not, why does Mi Mix 2S have this limitation when the Poco F1 has the same CPU type?

In addition, Poco F1 is reported to have LTE-A (4CA) Cat16 1024/150 Mbps, and Mi Mix 2S features LTE-A (3CA) Cat18 1200/100 Mbps. How is it possible that mobiles with the same CPU, that means they must have the same radio, have different specifications? Qualcomm stated on the site that it is an LTE Cat18. Why does Poco F1 have a different specification?

So can anyone provide me with complete and detailed specifications?

The specification in image is correct.
POCO F1 has some limitation on network supports since it costs more to support more network.
So if POCO F1 has same network support with Mi Mix2, the price of POCO F1 will be more expensive than now.
And if I am not wrong POCO F1 also supports up to Cat. 18.

But in the specification is no mention about:

1) Downlink Carrier Aggregation: How many carriers can be aggregated and with what bandwidth??
2) Downlink LTE MIMO: Supports Poco F1 4x4 MIMO on every band? If not, on which then? How many 4x4 MIMO carriers can aggregate?
3) Downlink QAM: Which version of QAM does my mobile support?

The same questions for uplink.

Same chipset doesn't really mean same radio and network compatibility. For cost cutting, POCO supports lesser bands. Plus, POCO F1 was primarily intended for Indian market, and then went global rather than the other way around. If you go by the specs by Qualcomm, it only means the capacity/compatibility of the chipset - OEMs can make changes to radio and network bands as per availability or market region.

If you are planning to buy any of these devices, go for the one that supports the networks in your carrier/region.

Cheers! :-)

I don't need to know which bands F1 or Mi Mix 2S support. This is not important to me. Ordinary people need to know it. I need to know the answer to the above questions.

I don't need any of that. I need that mobile phone for testing the mobile network.
