Xiaomi Qatar has joined hands with Vodafone Qatar to launch Mi MIX 3 5G in the region. Vodafone will open pre-orders for a limited number of Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 5G from May 14th. The announcement was made at Galeries Lafayette Doha, the exclusive partner of Vodafone Qatar for the pre-order and sale phases of the smartphone. Sheikh Hamad Abdulla al-Thani, CEO of Vodafone Qatar, delivered the first locally available Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 5G to Adel Ali Bin Ali, president of Ali Bin Ali Holding who runs Galeries Lafayette Doha, in the presence of Nabeel Ali bin Ali , vice president and EVP of the group. Intertec Group, Xiaomi's only distributor in Qatar, was represented by its managing director Abdulla Khalifa al-Subaey and division director Asraf N K.
The Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 5G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Mobile platform carrying the Snapdragon X50 5G modem with integrated transceiver and Qualcomm Technologies' RF Front End solution, which inaugurates a new decade of revolutionary mobile experiences. For the rest, it is identical to the Mi MIX 3 that we have come to know in recent months.
With each purchase of Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 5G at the price of 3.999 QR , customers will receive a Galeries Lafayette Doha gift voucher worth 1,500 QR. In addition, customers who sign up for Vodafone Red Me will get numerous benefits, including free parking for 12 months.

Xiaomi and vodafone also tied up to launch ‘Grand Ramadan Offer’, which gives buyers of any new Xiaomi smartphone up to 6.5GB of free Vodafone mobile data. The offer is valid on all Xiaomi handsets purchased with a Vodafone promotional sticker until June 30 for new and existing Vodafone prepaid users, according to a press statement issued by Intertec Group, the sole authorised distributor of Xiaomai Mobiles in Qatar.
The 6.5GB free data will be offered in a staggered manner, with 500MB activated immediately upon the customer’s first use. The remaining 6GB will be given to the customer over the following six months when recharging with QR50 or above. The partnership was announced at an event held at the Mi Store in Al Nasr Street in the presence of senior executives from Vodafone Qatar and Intertec Group.
Xiaomi is a fast-growing smartphone brand in Qatar. According to renowned research firm IDC, Xiaomi accounts for 19% of the Qatari smartphone market as of the fourth quarter of 2018, the statement notes, adding that its association with Vodafone Qatar “is poised to strengthen the brand’s presence in the country”.
