Using GCam, no problems with voice and moving if moving mode activated.

actually, no phone currently out has stabilization at 4k@60fps. so you might want to recheck that. no phone from any manufacturer.
now on the 1080@60fps, I'm lost on that one but my phone has started doing much better at 1080p then it used to but 99% of what I record is 4k, I do 30fps most of the time unless there is action involved.
best solution is get a Gimbal which does better anyways.

Yes, Mi8 fortunately has OIS which is not present on those large Sony 48MP sensors on e.g. The Mi9 - nothing Xiaomi can do about that. Because of this properly working EIS is even more important in these models.

Unfortunately I don't know if the stabilization in 4k 60fps on the Mi8 uses EIS (which I think as OIS as I know it from the iPhones gives much smoother stabilization) or OIS - best would be of course to have both.

no current phone has any stabilization at 4k@60fps. Gimbal is the only real solution

nope, it does not! nor does the XS. I just double checked as I own a 8plus as well. but I just went to the Apple boards and quite a few others to make sure I was correct. apple stats it has OIS but the OIS only works on 4k@30 or lower resolutions. 60fps is the same as the Mi 9.
the fix is called, get a gimbal. there are plenty of videos showing clearly the same issues we have on the Mi 9. my S9+ and Note 9 claim the OIS as well but not at 60fps on 4k. it's to much processing power to control I assume. look how much data 4k at 60fps is and how a lot of phones are limited to 5 minutes in 4k@60 but the iPhone does give you unlimited 4k at least.

Yeah, but stabilization at 4k30fps or 1080p60fps still would be nice and there is apparently none on the Xiaomi even in these modes - and I think that (EIS, maybe even done in a separate step afterwards..) should be possible on an SD855.

the Mi 9 has some of the best stabilization on the market with 4k@30fps. 1080@60 was not working at first but seems better then it did. 4k@60 doesn't work on any phone. it takes so much just to process 4k@60 I think it's just to demanding bit 1080@60 there should be no excuse.
