TWRP FLASHER TOOLKIT

XIAOMI REDMI 7 ONCLITE

https://miui.blog/media/2019/05/TWRP-Flasher-Redmi-7-Onclite.png

What is this?

This is a Windows toolkit to help Redmi 7 users flashing TWRP or stock Mi recovery.

Meanwhile, this tool only flashes TWRP v3 by wzsx150 from LR.Team.

Hopefully it will be updated when the official TWRP build becomes available.

How to Use

1. Unlock bootloader

Done everything as reported in this guide (I’ve done it several times on other Xiaomi phones) but after TWRP flasing completes (with all OK messages) it reboots and the screen is completely black (seems it’s powered off).
After powering it on it boots as expected into system; if I manually try to reboot to recovery with “adb reboot recovery” it starts to the default recovery, like TWRP was not installed.

My Redmi7 (NOT NOTE7) is a 3/64 Global version.

Any ideas?

This is the output of flash command (it seems to me that 1.45 seconds to send 65MB are too few):
----
C:\Android\Redmi7> fastboot flash recovery twrplrteam.img
target reported max download size of 534773760 bytes
erasing 'recovery'...
OKAY [  0.047s]
sending 'recovery' (65536 KB)...
OKAY [  1.453s]
writing 'recovery'...
OKAY [  0.641s]
finished. total time: 2.157s
----

This is what I see if I try to directly boot TWRP (without flashing it):
----
C:\Android\Redmi7> fastboot boot twrplrteam.img
downloading 'boot.img'...
OKAY [  1.453s]
booting...
FAILED (status read failed (Too many links))
finished. total time: 1.578s

I think (not know...think) Redmi7 has got a new protection against temporary TWRP-boot.

Flash working normally....but boot is impossible.

Did you manage to flash this TWRP permanently? I still couldn't boot TEMPORARILY. Afraid to flash the permanent one because of this.
I can flash or boot into TWRP with my Redmi4X using the same PC.

Yes. PERMANENT TWRP working normally. Redmi7 can not able to BOOT TEMPORARY TWRP.(but I did not used this tool...I flashed TWRP from direct ADB commands)
