[Discussion] Xiaomi Philips Zhirui e27 Smart Bulb: Connection timeout

hi!

my bulbs timeout and can't connect using my account. i've tried: https://forum.yeelight.com/t/connection-timeout-issue/6015 this solution using the yeelight account on that page and it works, but its not a longterm solution as i have to use that open account to access my devices via sharing them from that account.

i'm using the china server and my id (6182207062)is greater than 4294967295 (32bit)

hope someone can help solve this issue as it would seem that i'm not the only one with this issue: http://en.miui.com/thread-5549177-1-1.html

Sorry for the delay, I wanted to write immediately... So, basically to keep it very short all you need to do is to make yourself a new account from a country where they sell these devices. China will ask you to provide a.phone number, so that's out. But I figured out that making a Russian accounts only requires an email. So I did a Russian mi home account and guess what account number I got...? Less than the infamous 4294967295!!! Tried to connect my ZhiRui devices, and it all worked like a charm on first attempt!
Try it out and let me know if it all goes smoothly as it should! As I have been on the other side.of the problem for quite some time I really hope i managed to do some good to all those in this situation! I was jumping with a smile when I finally sorted it out! Enjoy!!!

Have you tried to update the bulbs within Yeelight account? And after updating.. delete the bulb from the Yeelight account..

than it should be possible to install on your own account.

could you try that?

best regards,

I have exactly the same problems with the e27 bulbs as well as with the ZhiRui downlights! It's a nightmare and a waste of time. I've contacted the Xiaomi global help desk which quickly answered some nonsense and that they cannot do anything about it. Yet how come with the yeelight account one can connect everything without problems?!? I went through that as well, and also tried changing the router DNS... Nothing helped. Still the same nonsense connection problem! And no, switching from yeelight account to yours after doing any type of update (which anyways is not present) doesn't help. If anyone finds a way out of this I would greatly appreciate it!

exact same issue for me. having an account number larger than the 32 bit is really a showstopper for me to get many more xiaomi smart products which i've been planning on purchasing.

is there anyway to fix this 32 bit integer overflow issue? please advice as i cant pair any of the light bulbs purchased.

I must admit that with 2 Xiaomi Yeelights (ceiling) this doesn't happen and everything connects and works just fine. so maybe it's just an issue with the ZhiRui (Philips) models... Yet again, such a collaboration shouldn't have such incredibly stupid limitations! Hopefully they will have some sort of update or solution to this, or some bright developer with create an app that supports these devices! in any case I hope that if anyone finds a solution they will share it with us!!!

My pleasure! Share the trick wherever needed!!! I still feel like Xiaomi should do something about this senseless limitation and absolute lack of customer support... Hopefully they will overcome this and allow us to have a normal residence related account with the possibility to use devices bought worldwide!
