Greetings to all!

Today I will show how to do Proximity sensor calibration on Mi Max 3 smartphone!
This method will help you fix problems with a Proximity sensor, of course, if this is a software problem, not hardware.

If you do not experience any problem, it is advisable not to take any action!

To cause problems with the sensor, can a protective glass, or even a simple protective film on the screen. If there are problems with the sensor, then the popular opinion is bugs in the firmware! But this is not always the case, sometimes something interferes with the sensor (glass, film). In some devices in the engineering menu there is a sensor calibration menu. And it helps in some cases.

The problem may look different: spontaneous switching on the screen during a call, the screen does not turn on after a call, and indeed during a call, the smartphone behaves strangely!

If you have a problem, there is a problem with the sensor after the glass or film is applied, calibration can only aggravate the situation! DO NOT MAKE IT!

1. Open the settings - about the device - and click several times on the kernel version. After that you enter to the  engineering menu!

2. In the engineering menu you need to select 3 Dots in the upper right corner. And choose 3 dots - Additional tool - №10 Proximity sensor.

3. You will see some number and button calibrate.
The numbers above show whether the sensor is working in the smartphone or not! If you close the upper area of the smartphone, the numbers will change the value to 0, if you do not close the value will be the same!
Now let's proceed directly to the calibration: wipe the top area of the smartphone, put it on the surface so that nothing interferes with the calibration, otherwise calibration can only make it worse. Close the sensor at a distance of 2 centimeters from it, and press calibrate. After you receive the appropriate message and the numbers below will show you the current sensor calibration.

Thanks to Admin and mods family!
Thanks and best regards!
