Hide Notch feature is available on Pocophone F1! - POCO F1 - Mi Community

In the latest MIUI Global Stable version V10.3.4.0.PEJMIXM, Pocophone F1 users finally can hide the notch!

How to hide the notch?Settings ~ Full Screen Display ~ Turn on Hide Notch

Let's see how the notch is being hidden!

At the same time, we also can CUSTOMIZE the way notch is displayed for Individual Apps!

How to customize?
Settings ~ Full Screen Display ~ Notch in individual apps ~ Select Apps
There is two options, Auto or Always show notch, let's use PUBGM game as example.

By default, PUBGM is set as Always show notch, thus our gaming screen will be blocked by the notch.

Thus, we click on PUBGM, select Auto and Restart the game. The gaming screen will be optimised and it will not blocked by the notch.

Let's enjoy our gaming without affected by the notch!

They gave us hide the notch option but forgot to provide a normal status bar. Can anyone explain this logic.....

As far as I am aware, they didn't forget that. This is how it also works on Google's Pixel.

Ambien display is a style of locked screen and notifications what looks better than anything else and it's only not available as MIUI devs not working good and talking about Amoled while the only connection between Amoled and Ambient Display is that it uses like zero battery with Amoled meanwhile notch hide is remove screen area and looks like a 2 years old device :D Oh and notch hide use black area what also not battery efficient on LCD right? ;)

Nothing wrong, but poco developers can't understand this. Beside they removed it it and now they are lancing it as a new feature. This is bad!
The good thing is that at least they are implementing some of the things we're asking for.
