Hello Mi Fans!
Redmi 4 is one of the most popular phone. The design, specifications and the features that it offers at that price do simply make us fall in love with it. But one thing that many of us missed was the Multi-Colour Notifications LED which is present in the majority of the other Xiaomi phones. Most of us including me thought that it is a hardware limitation, so we can't do anything about that. But the good thing is that it is not so.

Now let's have a look at how we can enable the Multi-colour notification LED on Redmi 4.

(Using TWRP - No Root)

  • Power off your device. Then boot into TWRP recovery by pressing and holding Power and Volume Up buttons together.
  • Flash the downloaded zip file using TWRP
  • Now Reboot to system
  • After the phone has finished booting up. Open Settings  Now go to Additional Settings- Notification Light as shown in the pictures.
There you will see options to set LED colors for different notifications, as shown in the below image.
There you go You can now set the colors & see it on your Redmi 4!

METHOD 2(Root Required)
In this method, you need root permission. To Obtain Root permission you need the TWRP.

  • Unlocked Bootloader
  • init.d scripts support App (Download)
  • The script file that is to be executed (Download)

  • Download the Script from the above link.
  • Keep the downloaded file in a folder "Script" on your phone’s internal memory
  • Download the App init.d scripts support the provided link.
  • Adjust the settings as they are in the following screenshot
  • After setting everything, Click on the button Run scripts now.
  • Now Reboot your Redmi 4, and yes! You are done.
  • Now you can simply set the colors from the Phone's Settings as mentioned in the first method.

  • Do at your own risk.We are not responsible for any issue caused by trying these mods.
  • This method may not work always. If you are interested, give a try to see whether it works for you.
  • You can use cyan, purple, yellow, and white colors for the Notification LED. The other colors won't work as of now in either method
  • Please note that I'm not the developer of any of these methods I'm just sharing it here for you all.
  • All the credits go to the respective developers of those mods ..
