The head of Xiaomi, Lei Jun, published on his page several photos that were taken on the camera of the Xiaomi 12S series smartphone. Most likely, we are talking about Xiaomi 12S Ultra.

Earlier, Xiaomi leader officially confirmed that the Xiaomi 12S Ultra smartphone will use the new Sony IMX989 large image sensor with an optical format of 1 inch. Compared to the iPhone 13 Pro Max, sensor area is increased by 172%, light sensitivity by 76%, camera speed by 32.5%, and startup speed by 11%.

The Sony IMX989 development cost was $15 million, the sensor was jointly developed by Xiaomi and Sony. Lei Jun described the new smartphones as follows:
