![]() Hi Mi Fans, Welcome to the community brand new section ‘Voice’ a place where Mi Fans get information about Mi Products and their reviews. As a Contributor in Mi Community, I get a chance to share my honest review about Redmi Series Smartphone named Redmi 9 after using it for more than a year. It was launched previous year and I am still using it as my primary phone. So I am going to share my honest review about this little beast from Mi. The first word that comes to my mind when I look at the Redmi 9 is “sturdy”. It comes with a grippy, textured design called ‘360 Aura design’ that manages to keep scratches to a minimum. The texture on the back makes the phone grippy and smudge-proof, which is great! Also, the rear panel curves gently along the edges and nicely meets the chassis, which makes the phone quite comfortable to hold. The phone is easily pocketable, and fairly slim (9.1 mm). It weighs 198gm, which is meaty, but for a phone that holds a 5,020 mAh battery, it is okay. ![]() It features a 6.53-inch Full HD+ IPS Display with 1,080 x 2,340 resolution and a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for extra protection. I enjoy binge-watching shows on Netflix and videos on YouTube. It packs in a MediaTek Helio G80 SoC, which is supposed to deliver high gaming performance, Tto be very honest with you I am not Gaming Geek So I can’t explain much about it gaming performance, Yes I heard good reviews from gaming lovers about this phone. I am using it more than a year, it can perform all the basic day-to-day tasks like scrolling Instagram, checking emails, reading articles, browsing the internet, and more quite well. The best part of the phone is its Battery life and it supports 18W fast charging. The battery life on the phone is excellent and can easily last over a day with light-to-moderate use. It comes with 10W charger but I am using 18W fast charger so it took only an hour to fully charged. ![]() It features an AI quad-camera with 13MP primary lens, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 5MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies, you get an 8MP sensor. When it comes to the performance of these cameras, it’s very average. camera performance further goes down in low-light where the shots come out super dull and noisy with zero detail. At this price, poor low light performance isn’t too surprising It comes with MIUI 12 out of the box, but after MIUI 12.5 stable update its performance improves a little bit due to MIUI 12.5 light and fast interface . Finally after more than year use, It strikes a good balance between style, battery, and performance. Mi Fans let me know in comments how you like this short review of Redmi 9 after using it more than a year. |
