''Mi to You'' Halloween - Other - Xiaomi Community

Hi Mi Fans,

So some you might have realised the night are getting shorter and Halloween's winter solstice is coming very soon.

And as Halloween is my favourite holiday (except Piotrs birthday on the 20th) in the year being Irish, I'll remind you that Halloween is originally a Celtic festival of the new year marked by the Celts lighting bonfires and dressing up as beasts to scare out ghosts coming over from the spiritual realm into the real world.

We all love the idea of a little scare and with movie magic and suspense music we all get frightened.

So this month's "Mi to You" answer is the following…

It's a hard choice, but I'd go for the cabin in the woods, ( https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1259521/), simply as it's a really interesting deconstruction of the ''rules'' of horror films (and I love meta)

And to boot, the poster was one of my favourites, so full of hidden meanings and easter eggs :D

When I first time watch Insidious with my friends in classroom at the senior highschool, this scene made us jumped and the girls are screaming! In the scene, They were just sitting there (idk what they are talking, I forgot, sorry) in the middle day. The atmosphere is like pretty much calming and guaranteed there is no jumpscare (you know, the talking session in a movie pretty much boring and very serious). But then, NOPE! Nope nope nope nope! Uh Oh, nope! The jumpscare gave me chill around my neck! Also the music is suddenly playing too loud! :O For me, Insidious is one of my favorite horror movie because they created creative jumpscare. And my second favorite is Pee Mak, a Thai's horror movie. You guys should check and watch this one too with your family :)))))))

I was going to Say Blair Witch Project but that would be a complete lie, the scariest thing about that is how that was ever made it was rubbish :D as a kid my favourites included Exorcise and Nightmare on Elm Street but my favourites since have included The Babadook, Saw & The Quiet Place

Nightmare on Elm Street is the movie I fear the most, and Freddy Kruger is the character I fear the most. As the horror movie of my childhood, it gave me goosebumps that the main character, Freddy, would appear out of nowhere. His sudden appearance, especially from the bathroom and the bed, was truly terrifying.

The Conjuring ... so many jumpscare in this film, every scene make your heart feel like in rollercoaster. one part of scene always linger in my mind, even already at home for a week. that's one of best scary movie ever.
