Is it a myth? Or is there a truth behind the process?

No, really?

The problem lies with the wrong information. Kasi ang akala ng iba, most batteries of late are still the same from the batteries being used in the late 90s and early 2000s.

Hindi na po. Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) and Nickel Cadmium (NiCd) are cellphone batteries of the past. Lithium Ion/Lithium Polymer na po ang batteries ngayon, which behaves very differently from the first two mentioned.

Never ever believe the myth that battery calibration can do just that.

It does not.

That's what CALIBRATION does. It corrects errors. So battery calibration is performed to correct errors in percentage reading. So ano yung mga errors na yun?

2. Kapag imbes na tumataas ang charge ninyo eh nababawasan pa while charging (provided that you are using the stock fast charger of your phone)
3. Kapag tumatalon-talon ang battery reading (for instance, 100% tapos biglang naging 95% kaagad at nag-ii-skip)

Pero this is not a process done regularly. You don't need to do it kung wala namang problema ang battery reading ninyo. You only perform this once or in the event na present yung mga problemang na-enumerate sa itaas.

Kapag 2% na lang at buhay pa rin then manually turn off your cellphone.
2. Plug in the charger and charge it ng naka-off until mag-full (100%).
3. Once full, unplug the charger sa phone, then turn on your phone.
4. Once open na ang phone, turn on niyo yung airplane mode para walang papasok na kahit anong calls and texts. Leave the phone for 30 minutes ng hindi ginagamit.
5. After 30 minutes, magbawas man or hindi ang battery percentage ng inyong cellphone, isaksak niyo ulit ang charger sa phone and charge it for another 30 minutes ulit. Again, wag gagamitin ang phone while charging.
6. After 30 minutes, unplug your charger sa phone and calibrated na ang battery. Observe niyo na lang siya.

That's it. Next time, it is suggested to perform a HEALTHY CHARGING technique. Meaning, charge it ideally between 20 to 80%. Bago umabot ng 20%, charge niyo na. At pag around 80% na, then stop na.

Some people will think that it's impractical. So mabilis din silang mauubusan ng charge for the day.

The answer here will be left in your hands. Gaya ng sabi sa itaas, it is SUGGESTED, but not necessarily required. The reason why it is suggested is because ang paraan na yan, mas mapapahaba mo ang overall battery lifespan ng battery mo. Kung ang battery ng phone mo will last you 1 1/2 years. doing this healthy charging technique will make your battery last longer, say 2 or even 3 years overall.

And it is also highly suggested for you guys to buy a quality POWERBANK. Laging always on the go kayo.
