Upgraded to Miui 12 which gives sunlight mode. Put it on and it does nothing. Is it working for anyone else?

If you go to display, then brightness level you can toggle on and off. It's purpose is to raise the brightness in bright ambient light (sunlight) when you have auto brightness turned off. Mine had it as a default when I got the phone, with no option to turn off. It stopped working around December after an update. Now its supposed to work, but with the option to turn it on and offattach6232557/attach

Ah, gotcha, had never noticed it (an weirdly enough the settings do not point to it while searching for the name). Anyway, it was off on mine, going out today so I'll try to see if it makes a difference.

Thanks. You can't miss it if it works. When mine was, it raises brightness even higher than the normal max brightness. It's a really handy feature, which means you can leave auto brightness turned off

Thanks for checking that. It saves me time resetting the phone and all that. I'll raise a bug report, and hopefully it'll get fixed when next patch rolls out.

The interesting thing is that the function worked with the miui 11 (or 10) when i bought my mi 9t pro im January 2020. After that, xiaomi disabled it and has stopped working since then.  MIUI 12 didn't bring anything either.
