Redmi Note 4 is classic device which promises performance alongwith stunning looks. Talking about camera, it is equipped with 13 MP rear camera and 5 MP front camera. The rear camera offers Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF) for 0.1s ultra-fast focusing that helps in capturing moving objects. There are many modes available in the camera app which includes Beautify, Panorama, Tilt Shift, etc.
Redmi Note 4 supports Full HD video recording, it also offers Slow Motion and Time Lapse features in addition to normal video recording.
In this thread I have highlighted HDR feature of the rear camera. HDR stands for High Dynamic Range - It is a post processing done by camera to reproduce a greater dynamic range of luminosity, in simple words it’s a technique used to get images with lots of detailing and sharper than the normal ones.
How it works ?
In the HDR on smartphones, your phone takes 3 images at different exposures and then split out one regular photo and one HDR photo. The result is something that should look more like what your eyes see, rather than what your camera sees. The process is done at backend and you don't need to do anything special in addition to it.
Thankfully all the Xiaomi phones offer HDR mode and MIUI camera app lets you use it very easily.
Let me show how you can use it :-
1. Just open camera app on your Xiaomi phone and look at the top right corner, you’ll find HDR button there
2. Now just tap on it and it’ll get enabled (Refer to the below snapshot as an example)

3. Now tap at the shutter button to capture theshot and wait for 2-3 seconds, let the phone save the image into gallery. Once it’s done, you may see the image in the gallery
Now you can compare it with the normal pics and you'll find HDR one provides more details than normal one. Your phone just did its job for you!
Here are a few of the best HDR Pictures I captured with my Redmi Note 4-
