WiFi connected but no internet after long inactivity - Redmi Note 9/S/Pro - Mi Community

Hi RN 9S users,

Do you experience WiFi connected but no internet issue after long inactivity?

I have been using Redmi Note 9S for 1 week. Every morning, when I start using the phone, I found that all apps are not connected to internet. The WiFi is connected but no internet access. I need to turn off the WiFi and reconnect it again in order to gain internet access.

I think it is a software bug. Could you please check and report the problem?

I tested on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz. Same problem after leaving the phone inactive overnight and no internet access in the morning.

Hi, same problem here with my Redmi Note 9s,

same issue in both, 2,4ghz and 5ghz seperate networks with my Fritzbox 7530.
Its like after x minutes in standby data Transfer is blocked. Maybe some kind of energy saver? In earlier versions of MIUI there was an option to toggle -WiFi always enabled-.
Only way to get Internet back for that moment is to turn off/on WiFi.

Someone any ideas to solve?

I habe the same Problem.

yeah. Every morning, I wake up to find out that WiFi connected but cannot access internet. It's annoying to reset the WiFi everytime.

Exactly. I thought WiFi should be always ON. No setting to put the WiFi to sleep in MIUI. I tried to reset the WiFi network and even reinstalled MIUI but failed to fix the WiFi sleep problem. I think this must be some random MIUI bug in Redmi Note 9s. Hope Xiaomi investigate this problem and fix it ASAP.

no problem for me. my RMN9S connect to WiFi almost 24/7 a day due to MCO and all are doing well no connection issue.

I have the Redmi Note 9S since Yesterday and already noticed this Strange behaviour. Brings Back some great MIUI memories...
Sold my Oneplus 7 which never had any Problems in my WiFi.
