[Other] Living with self distancing and self isolation

Keeping more than a meter apart might seem simple, but it's actually hard to do! Especially when in the company of family and friends. There's always that touch of the wrist, the dig from the elbow or the bump of the hip when communicating. The best way to deal with it is to gamify it, make it a point of conversation or an activity until it does seem so unusual or self conscious a thing to do.
You would think that self isolation would mean yonks of time to get things done that you've neglected to do. That pile of books you never got round to reading, those small repairs/D.I.Y. jobs you've been meaning to tackle, and the series you can binge watch on the services of your choice!. But it doesn't, because while you start to engage with those things you've put aside, your mind isn't on task, it's on the colleagues, the friends and the family members you can't be around.
Best thing for it is to set aside a time just to talk, text, video with them and stick to it. Be supportive and do your best. As for the rest of it? All the time in the world.

Strange times, but you are right, not a bad one to think and reprioritise your life. Keep safe folk, most things can wait.

Get into a regular routine . Turn your bed into an office space with regular snacks to hand .
Contemplate rising from your pit each day at 11am but stretch it out to 1pm .
Practice cutting your own hair so when you emerge you don't look like Robinson Crusoe .
