Actually there is no RN9 (not Pro) as far as I saw. Very weird.

Yeah if need to be specific it is Redmi Note 9 Pro. Just saying in general that's logically the iteration which is a 9.

Yes, I wasn't nitpicking, I was generally expecting a non Pro. Anyway the Pro seems a great device for the price of very close to my RN8. I am not looking to upgrade for quite some time - I am not producing any more e-waste but if I was getting a phone now RN9Pro seems like a very sweet deal especially if India prices reach all markets.

It is a better deal, base model 4+64 is definitely cheaper compared to it's predecessors(4+64 models).

Every iteration they do it differently, not sure why, probably to throw off their competitior's prediction. They launched RN5Pro in India, then RN5 China, followed by RN5 Global. Next it's just RN6Pro. Then RN7 followed by RN7Pro.

yeah, it's too soon to change phones again for most of us.
