[Q&A] USB connection failed

I own Mi 8 pro with MIUI 11. I tried to connect to laptop with mi PC suite but the laptop didn't recognize it. Any help please.

Dear user, Sorry for the inconvenience. Did you enable USB debugging in developer options? If yes, Kindly try to check with another cable and try to update latest version of Mi PC Suite. If the issue still persists, kindly visit the nearest service then check your device port and they'll help you. Thanks.

I had to change quite a few cables until I found one that actually works.
The Mi Suite is not working but the computer find the phone as a drive and let me transfer pictures.
