Check if your device is certified in PlayStore settings.

I also have that issue with Facebook Messenger.
Says it has a 11kb update but gives out an error when I try to update..

That issue is different from the one mentioned by OP. The 'small' update error is actually an issue with the PlayStore. Clear cache and data of PlayStore and it will be fixed.
Cheers! :-)

Just be careful while doing all this cuz there's guy who has bricked his mi9. His phone came with Chinese rom but he installed global rom with bootloader unlocked. Installed Netflix, didn't work, went to a service guy who told him Netflix doesn't work cuz he had the bootloader unlocked so he locks it and bam! Phone goes 😴 night night!

Not an issue with POCO F1 since it doesn't have a China ROM. But still a valid point though for other devices.

It says it is certified. I also tried wiping cache of both Playstore app, and Netflix app. but the problem is still there. Any more ideas?

Have you tried installing the stable variant of the app? It might be that there's some compatibility issues with the Beta version of the app. Since the warning also mentioned to contact the developer for more information, I would suggest you to do that too.

Cheers! :-)

today a new beta update popped up in Play Store just like it always did before.
guess it was some kind of fault on the Netflix Side?
Version info is in the screenshot.

That's great. Seems an issue with the beta version of the app.
