To identify the Future 50, BCG examined 1,100 publicly traded companies with at least $20 billion in market value or $10 billion in revenue in the 12 months through the end of 2017. With a 26 percent market share, Xiaomi continued to dominate the India smartphone market in the third quarter (Q3) of 2019, as smartphone shipments touched a highest-ever mark despite the economic slowdown, a Counterpoint Research report said on Thursday. According to the "Market Monitor" report, driven by new launches, discounts and various pre-Diwali sales channels, the India smartphone shipments reached a record 4.9 crore units even as the economic slowdown affted the other sectors. 
The India smartphone market grew double digits reaching a record 49 million units in Q3 2019 offsetting the ongoing economic slowdown in other sectors. Given the maturity of smartphone users in terms of digital content consumption, commerce and communication, the smartphone has become central to people’s lives taking a priority in terms of their share of wallet. Further, the smartphone brands continue to expand their product portfolio with attractive advanced features from the quad-camera to full view display to fast-charging larger battery for the mainstream and the mass market. As a result, this holiday season, we estimate the demand for smartphones will supersede other categories despite an uncertain economic climate. Xiaomi Launches Two Top-Notch Monitor Variants and Cool Gadgets in China Xiaomi launched two top-class monitor offerings last week — the Mi 144Hz Curved Gaming Monitor 34’’ and Mi Desktop Monitor 23.8”, retailing at RMB 1999 and RMB 699 respectively. The technology giant also further expanded its home appliances lineup by introducing Mi Lint Trimmer, Mi Handheld Vacuum Cleaner 1C, Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop 1C, and Mi Automatic Dishwashing Liquid Dispenser Kit.
