Concerning about your problem , I don't have your device just to check it . Also I have a mi 9t pro and I have this feature calling Reading Mode . I can recommend you to turn of auto bright and DIMM manually your screen to the point you begin to stay comfortable with your screen
Regards

The feature meant here is "Anti-flicker mode".
By this name it's present in the settings of many (or all?) other Mi devices that have an Oled display (elsewhere Xiaomi names it also DC dimming, DC brightness or Adaptive Brightness).
The Mi 9T did not get it yet, seems to be forgotten by Xiaomi :-(
Reading Mode is something else.

Xiaomi abandoned the Redmi K20 and they said that everyone who had an oled screen would have the dc dimming function, a great lie.
