![]() Hello Mi Fans, Greetings from Mi Community Bangladesh Tech Team and welcome to the new volume of Weekly Discussion Series. Now-a-days, smartphones are getting packed with more and more memory. Nearly every computing-capable device needs RAM. We use a variety of devices in our daily life which helps us to ease our work and also enjoy our free time. What Is RAM? RAM stands for Random Access Memory, and it gives your smartphone the virtual space which is needed for managing some information and solve problems at the given moment of time. RAM is what your smartphone uses to transfer temporary data. Essentially, the more RAM we have, the more apps/tabs/processes/windows we can run simultaneously without running into performance issues. The OS and system processes also consume RAM space, and over time, as more applications are installed and more processes enter the system to occupy memory, slowdown, lags and stutters become more noticeable. Finally, the more RAM you have on a smartphone, the more apps and files you’ll be able to fit in the RAM, which means more apps will boot up quicker. Because of the optimizations made to mobile apps in general, there’s a limit to how much RAM is actually needed. What's the RAM of Your Smartphone?
