Thursday, 25th July, 2019 Hellooooo!!!! I am Torsha aka Crossfiree from India! It's been almost 2 and a half years since I became a part of this moderator family. First Global forum and now Global Community. When Xiaomi and Torsha crossed their paths...crossfire was born..haha. Through out all these years my responsibilities as a mod and my love for Mi as a die-hard Xiaomi fan, both remained same-both remained intact. And today, I am gonna share one page of my mod's diary with all of you. A page specially written to take you all down the memory lane of one of the most beautiful journey of my life. 
Okay, enough of the preface. Let's first talk about how I approached Xiaomi. I met Xiaomi 3 years back in 2016 when I lost my beloved Samsung Galaxy J7 while travelling. On the quest of a new phone, I started exploring different options and brands. And ultimately ended up with Redmi Note 3 after listening to the constant appreciation for Xiaomi from my cousin who considered herself to be a proud owner of Mi4i. But it wasn't really easy for me to get my hands on my first Xiaomi device. As there were hurdles! No, I am not talking about the Flash sales. Convincing my father for a Chinese brand was even more difficult than getting your luck in flash sales! Honestly! But somehow he gave a nod to it quite reluctantly and there I was all teeth out, happy and satisfied with my first ever Redmi phone! 
My first ever Mi device Redmi Note 3 Becoming a Moderator: The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step Lao Tzu rightly said, The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step. Initially I joined MIUI Forum just to post Q&A threads regarding some minor issues in redmi note 3. But that one thing, changed my life completely with a snowball effect. Thinking, I am exaggerating? Absolutely Not! Read on and you will understand. Even on the phase of being a normal user in forum, I always tried my best to help other fellow users with their queries as much as possible. Gradually it became a kind of addiction. Logging into the forum at the free times and checking for new threads to reply.... In the month of November,2016 the moderator recruitment came and I applied. 
Selection as moderator Believe it or not, I wasn't serious about becoming a moderator at all at that point of time. I just applied. Don't know why. But I just did! Maybe somewhere in my subconscious mind I wanted to contribute more to this platform. And what can be a better way than joining this amazing mods' family for that? To much of my surprise I got selected! An absolutely unexpected happiness! Being a newbie I had absolutely no idea what to expect or what not to. All I did was, allowing myself to be a beginner, who was willing to learn new things at any time of this journey! And trust me, I did learn a lot here. The long Journey: I embarked my journey as Moderator in January 2017 after an initial one month of internship. Won't deny but initially I was a bit apprehensive about all these but little did I know, what a spectacular journey was waiting for me! Right now, in community I help take care of General, Tech, Tips and Tricks and Global Fans sub forum. I have tried my best to contribute in various ways from helping users to organizing contests or creating various other interesting threads along with posting important news threads. For each of my assigned SF, I try put my best effort and I sincerely hope that Mi fans enjoy reading my articles. Do you? (you can say the truth even if you don't like..haha) 
My little Mi Home Time Management: I don't have any fixed time schedule for community. Doesn't matter wherever I am or whatever I am doing, whenever I get free time, I devote that fully to my moderator-self. Not only because I am committed to this role but for the love and affection I have for this place. My friends often roll their eyes on me for my addiction to community but I really don't blame them. Until you don't get yourself accustomed with Xiaomi's robust Fan culture, you seriously won't understand how strong, effective and brilliant it is! Achievements: Doing what you like is freedom. And liking what you do is happiness. My moderator soul has somehow given me both the freedom and immense happiness. But my journey so far wasn't too easy or simple. Neither I believe all our journeys should be perfect. But remember, your journey should be a happy one. And here I feel ecstatic, happy, and proud. There have been many ups and downs and it is the choice that I made at each of those times that have helped shape what I have achieved. My biggest achievement being a moderator is, my father who once was very skeptical about a Chinese brand, now owns 3 Mi phones! haha. My entire family's perspective towards a Chinese brand have been changed. 
First card from the sweet admins! "crossfire is on fire" - my fav line! Apart from the knowledge about MIUI and Xiaomi devices, I have also learnt about time management, and most importantly Patience! Interacting and communicating with people from all walks of life and from different parts of the world expanded my horizon. Last but not the least, I have been gifted with some friends, whom I can count on with my life. 
My babies! The most beautiful thing of Xiaomi I own! Apart from these achievements, recognition and my personal growth, the work here in community itself is a strong motivating factor for me. Since the very first day, my first and foremost priority has always been answering to user queries. Every time I see any thread with some uncommon problem, I can't keep calm until I do all possible search to get into the solution. And when an user reply that his problem is solved. That brings an ineffable joy which keeps me going and inspires me to outperform myself at every given opportunity. 
Replies that keep me going! P. S ignore the "bhai"... Haha If you are reading this and want to join the moderator family, you are most welcome! But make sure, you have the love and passion for Xiaomi. That's the most important elements needed to work here. If you have these, the rest will fall into place. Also learn to sense when an idea pops up into your head and capture it in the moment. Speak your own ideas out loud even if you don't solicit feedback. It's powerful and helps you clarify it and see it in a new way. Remember, it's your original and creative ideas that can differentiate yourself from others and make you stand out from the crowd. Wrap up time! It’s really amazing to see how the love for one brand has linked all of us together. Xiaomi has become a very special part of life now. I have learned a lot. I am still learning each day & I would proudly continue to be giving out all my best in future as well. 
Something I am gonna keep forever! But why do I feel I am missing out something?  ahh.. got it! See, while being so nostalgic about the odyssey, I forgot to mention about two most important people. Evaaaaaaa and Elaine - without these 2 beautiful ladies, Crossfire wouldn't be writing this diary today! There wouldn't be any existence of Crossfire!
